Candle Care
The First Burn
On your first burn of our candles leave it burning for a minimum of 1-hour to ensure an even wax melt that covers the diameter of the jar. This also helps the essential oil to slowly reveal itself, surrounding you with a pleasing and beneficial aromatic experience.
The Lid
Please make sure you put the lid tightly on when the candle is not in use as this will preserve the essential oils.
The Wick
Before relighting your candle, try to remember to trim your wick. A pair of nice sharp scissors work just as well as a wick trimmer. Ideally your wick should be no longer than 5mm.
How to clean the wax out thoroughly
Enjoy your candle to its very end and once finished, carefully pour boiling water into the jar and leave overnight. Any remaining wax will release to the top and will be easy to pour out, you can do this a few times to make sure you get all the wax out. The sticker that holds the wick in place may need a gentle nudge out which can be easily done with a teaspoon. You can then put your jar or ceramic vessel in the dishwasher as they are all dishwasher safe, and it will come out beautifully clean and ready to be re-imagined as a vase, storage jar or, if it’s one of our ceramic collection candles, they make lovely handless coffee mugs.
Kind Reminder
Please do not ever leave your candle unattended or in the reach of children or pets. The recommended burn time is no long than four hours. Thank you.
